Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Online Payment: You can pay the permit fee online using Visa or MasterCard. After successful payment, your permit will be sent directly to your email, and you do not need to visit the EP Counter to collect the permit. Please note that an additional 2.9% payment gateway charge will apply for online payments.
Counter Payment: First, you need to fill out the application form online. After submitting the form successfully, you will receive a Permit Request Application. Please present this application at the EP Counter, pay the permit fee in cash, and bring your passport or any valid identification to complete the payment and collect your permit. No additional charge applies for Counter Payment.

You need a valid passport (for indian - Aadhar Card / Voter ID), a recent photo (required for online payments only, counter pay no need photo), and complete personal details including name, nationality, date of birth, gender, occupation, and contact information. Children under 10 do not require a permit.

Permits are processed immediately after successful payment and form submission. You can print your permit directly from the website once approved. For counter payments, you may need to visit the office to collect it.

No, trekking permits are non-transferable and non-refundable. Please carefully plan your trekking dates, itinerary, and ensure all details are correct before submitting your application to avoid any issues.

Yes, you can add multiple visitors in a single application. Use the "Add More" button to include additional family members or group participants. Each person's details must be entered separately.

The permit fee is NRs. 3,000 for foreigners and NRs. 1,000 for SAARC nationals, including tax.

Yes. If you choose Online Payment, an additional 2.9% payment gateway charge will be applied.

No. If you choose Counter Payment, no additional charge applies, and you can pay the permit fee in cash at the EP Counter.

No. Trekking permits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

3. Click the “Verify & Retrieve Permit” button.
